Melanie Christensen attended Utah State University, where she developed her professional foundation working as an office manager, first for the Financial Aid Office and then for the Parking Office. This experience gave her a strong grounding in operations, client services, and administrative leadership that she would later bring to running a home care agency in Las Vegas, NV. She went on to earn her bachelor’s degree from American Public University in 2020, completing her education while managing the responsibilities of family life, a testament to her discipline and determination.

Before launching A Better Solution In Home Care in 2021, Melanie experienced the aging care system as a family member. Her mother was placed in hospice before passing in 2010, and her father spent his final months in a memory care facility in 2021. Watching her parents navigate those difficult transitions gave Melanie a firsthand understanding of what families truly need during those seasons of life, not just professional caregiving, but dignity, reassurance, and genuine human connection. The quality of care her parents received left a lasting impression and ultimately became the catalyst for her career in home care services.

In 2021, Melanie and her husband, Kent, opened A Better Solution In Home Care in Las Vegas, Nevada. What began as a deeply personal mission has grown into a trusted resource for families across the Las Vegas Valley as they navigate the challenges of aging.
